Vision Now – Age Friendly Lakeland March 2020

Vision Now Age Friendly Lakeland

Age Friendly Lakeland

Join us as we discuss the background of how Age Friendly Lakeland came to be and what it actually means to be an Age-Friendly community. Age Friendly Lakeland’s goal is to facilitate conversations relevant to the AARP 8 domains of livability with local non-profit, for-profit organizations, residents, city leaders, and businesses. The 8 Domains we discuss are Outdoor Spaces and Buildings, Transportation, Housing, Social Participation, Respect & Inclusion, Civic Participation and Employment, Communication and Information, and Community & Health Services. The availability and quality of these community features impact the well-being of older adults, which helps make communities more livable for people of all ages.
