Lakeland – A Bike Friendly Community
Host: Dr Kyle Fedler, Lakeland Vision
July’s Listen Lakeland show is all about bicycle riding in and around Lakeland. Lakeland is officially designated as a “Bike Friendly Community” and like many other cities, has experienced a boom in bicycling throughout the Coronavirus Pandemic. In this edition of Listen Lakeland, we hear from two Lakelanders who are looking to make cycling more accessible, safe, and fun for the community: Dr. Mary Crowe, President of Bicycling in Lakeland and Ted Hogan, Leader of Pedal Power Ministries. A new mountain biking league in Lakeland for kids of all riding abilities from 6th to 12th grade is introduced as another opportunity to make Lakeland an ever more “Bike Friendly Community!”
