Vision Now Lakeland Revitalization

Lakeland Revitalization through Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA)

Join the enlightening conversation between Dr. Sallie Stone, Lakeland Vision Board Member, and Alis Drumgo who is the Lakeland CRA Manager in the City of Lakeland Office of Economic Development. Dr. Sallie and Alis discuss how the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) has helped to accelerate growth and revitalization in Lakeland. Alis shared how the CRA is poised with helping Lakeland become one of the best places to live, work and play. CRA dollars are spent to improve communities that exist in blighted conditions. One way it accomplishes this task is by supporting small businesses through public private partnerships. When you look around Lakeland, whether it is downtown, in Dixieland or Midtown, it is clear that the CRA adds so much value to the community. Engagement is key to making Lakeland the best city across the I-4 corridor and the country!
