The Lakeland Vision Board of Directors will meet on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at 8:30 a.m. at Lakeland City Hall (228 S. Massachusetts Ave., 33801) in the Commissioners Conference Room  (3rd Floor).  The board will conduct the regular business meeting and then review mid-point assessments of the Jobs for a Vibrant Economy & Lifelong Education Focus Areas of the citizen Vision.  The mid-point assessments provide valuable insights as to where the Lakeland community is on implementing the goals outlined within the Vision.

The Lakeland Vision + Lakeland Chamber of Commerce Joint Education Committee will meet on Tuesday, March 11th at 9:30 a.m.  The meeting will take place at the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce in the Briefing Room.  This committee focuses on:

• Identifying current resource gaps (for educators, parents, business owners, community members, etc.).
• Connect stakeholders to education partners with clear goals, expectations, and processes.
• Whole person focus (lifelong education) from early childhood to senior citizen programing.
• Education communications with ALL Lakeland audiences relaying value of strong education options in our community

The Lakeland Vision Board of Directors will meet for its regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, February 6th at 8:30 a.m. This month’s meeting will take place at the Lakeland International Airport (3900 Don Emerson Dr, Lakeland, FL 33811). The board will welcome new board members for the 2025-2027 term, hear an update from Craig Stewart (Airport Assistant Director of Maintenance & Facilities) and review goals and priorities for 2025.

The Lakeland Vision Board of Directors will meet on Thursday, December 5th for the final meeting of 2024.  This meeting will include a vote on new board members for the 2025-2027 term, the 2025 Executive Committee and the 2025 budget proposal.  The meeting will be held virtually at 8:30 a.m.  Anyone interested in joining this meeting can contact Executive Director, Laura Rodriguez – Lrodriguez@lakelandvision.org.

The Lakeland Vision + Lakeland Chamber of Commerce will meet on July 9th at 9:30 a.m. in the Chamber’s Briefing Room.

Lakeland Vision’s Executive Committee will meet on Wednesday, May 8th at 9:30 a.m. to review outcomes from the annual board retreat.  Lakeland Vision’s Executive Committee consists of Ileana Kniss (Chair), Pat Steed (Vice-Chair), Carole Philipson (Immediate Past Chair), Amy Wiggins (Treasurer) and Laura L. Rodrigues (Executive Director).

The joint Education Committee of Lakeland Vision & The Lakeland Chamber of Commerce will meet on Tuesday, May 14th at 9:30 a.m. The location will be at The Lakeland Chamber of Commerce.

The Lakeland Vision Board of Directors will meet on Thursday, December 7th at 8:30 a.m.  Votes will be taken for new board members for the 2024-2026 term will be voted on, the 2024 slate of officers and the 2024 budget proposal.  Additionally, there will be updates from the Fundraising Committee and the Bike Buddies program.
