Lakeland Vision’s Community Unity Committee will meet on Wednesday, February 16th at 11:00 a.m. via Zoom. The committee will review the designated workgroups and fill in gaps in membership. Each workgroup reflects a designated focus area, including:

1. Overall Unity
2. Economy
3. Law Enforcement
4. Healthcare
5. Education

Lakeland Vision Board Member, Rick Maxey, serves as the Chairman of the Community Unity Committee.

The Age Friendly Lakeland Committee will meet on Wednesday, January 26th at 11:00 a.m. via Zoom.  The Committee will review general updates, the Business Seal Sub-Committee and the CNA Scholarship.  Any interested community members are welcome to join the AFL Committee.  For more information, please contact Age Friendly Coordinator, Allie Bates at allie@agefriendlylakeland.com.

Lakeland Vision’s Board of Directors will come meet for the first meeting of 2022 on Thursday, February 3rd at 8:30 a.m.  In addition to regular business, the meeting will also feature a presentation from Julie Townsend who is the Executive Director for the Lakeland Downtown Development Authority.  In light of Covid-19 numbers, this meeting will take place via Zoom.  For more information, please do not hesitate to contact Laura Rodriguez – (863) 370-8152 / lrodriguez@lakelandvision.org

The Lakeland Vision Board of Directors will meet on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. via Zoom.  The board will be approving board members for the 2022-2020 term, approving the 2022 budget proposal and each LV committee will provide mid-year updates on their work. This will be the final board meeting for 2021.

There will be no board meeting in January.  Meetings will resume in February with the first meeting of 2022 taking place on Thursday, February 3rd.

Committees allow us to deep dive into particular parts of the community Vision  in order to monitor, convene conversations and help fill in gaps.  Lakeland Vision’s 2021-2022 committees are as follows:

• Implementation (Benchmarks & Measurements)

The Lakeland Vision Board of Directors will not be meeting on Thursday, November 4th to allow for all LV committees to come together and focus on their year end goals.  The full board will return for a meeting on December 2nd at 8:30 a.m. via Zoom.
